Google Earth is now in 3-D


Google Earth Product Manager Peter Birch introduces the new high-definition 3D cities feature at Google's campus in San Francisco. Google also introduced offline Maps access and Trekker, a way to map ground-level views by foot.

Google Earth and Google Maps has got a pretty major boost this week by adding 3-D imagery, expanded street view, and offline access to its products. Rumor has it that Google is beefing up their services before Apple launches its own competing map app.
